Abstract:
Lung cancer is one of the highest cancer incidence rate in the world. With the progress of diagnosis and treatment, its mortality has dropped, but its long-term prognosis is still not optimistic. It is very important to find new therapeutic targets. It has been found that N6-methyladenosine (m6A) plays an important role in the development and treatment of lung cancer.m6A is the most abundant RNA internal modification in eukaryotic cells, and it is also a reversible epigenetic modification. This process is mainly regulated by methyltransferase and demethyltransferase of m6A,and the methyl reading enzyme specifically reads the information of RNA methylation modification, and participates in the biological processes of downstream RNA translation and degradation.Recent studies have shown that the frequency of RNA methylation is high, and m6A methylation can affect the occurrence and development of tumors through various mechanisms. Therefore, this article reviews the research progress of m6A in lung cancer,in order to provide new opportunities for the diagnosis, targeted treatment and prognosis of lung cancer.
