Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of epidural catheter analgesia pump applied to interstitial brachytherapy of gynecological tumor.Methods:50 cases of gynecological tumors who underwent interstitial brachytherapy were selected.Among them,25 cases were treated with epidural catheter connected to patient-controlled analgesia pump for analgesia (anesthesia group) and 25 cases were received intramuscular tramadol for pain relief (control group). The pain numerical rating scale (NRS),EORTC QLQ-C30 score,state-trait anxiety inventory (STAI) and IES-R event impact scale were used to quantitatively analyze the patients' feelings. Results:The average NRS score of the anesthesia group was (2.04±1.74) scores, which was significantly lower than that of the control group[(5.44±2.35) scores](P<0.05),and the state anxiety inventory (SAI) and trait anxiety inventory (TAI) scores were better than those of the control group (P<0.05).The EORTC QLQ-C30 scores of physical, emotional, role, social and cognitive function, and overall health status of the anesthesia group were higher than that of the control group, and the scores of pain, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting, and loss of appetite were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The IES-R score of the anesthesia group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).After treatment, the frequency of antiemetic drug use in the control group was significantly higher than that in the anesthesia group (P<0.05).There were no adverse reactions such as respiratory depression, delirium, urinary retention and delayed discharge in both groups. Conclusion:The application of epidural anesthesia in interstitial brachytherapy of gynecological tumor has a significant analgesic effect, significantly improves the comfort and quality of life of patients during treatment, and has no obvious adverse reactions.
