Abstract:
Objective:To analyze the changes of hepcidin-25 level in peripheral blood of children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and explore its mechanism.Methods:60 children with ALL (experimental group) and 45 healthy children (control group) admitted to our hospital were selected.The experimental group was divided into remission group and non-remission group according to the effect of chemotherapy.Peripheral blood was collected to detect the levels of hepcidin-25 and hepcidin-25 mRNA.The levels of hepcidin-25 and hepcidin-25 mRNA in peripheral blood of experimental group and control group,remission group and non-remission group were compared,and ROC was drawn to analyse the diagnostic value of hepcidin-25 and hepcidin-25 mRNA in ALL.Results:The expression levels of hepcidin-25 and hepcidin-25 mRNA in peripheral blood of children in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).The expression levels of hepcidin-25 and hepcidin-25 mRNA in peripheral blood of children in the non-remission group were significantly higher than those in the remission group before treatment (P<0.01).The expression levels of hepcidin-25 and hepcidin-25 in peripheral blood of children in the remission group were significantly lower than those before treatment (P<0.01).The ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the diagnostic curve (AUC) of hepcidin-25 and hepcidin-25 mRNA in peripheral blood was 0.759 and 0.771 respectively.The diagnostic sensitivity was 71.5% and 75.5%,and the diagnostic specificity was 72.5% and 75.3%,respectively.Conclusion:The level of hepcidin-25 in peripheral blood of children with ALL is significantly increased,which is related to the up-regulation of the expression of hepcidin-25 gene,which can be used in the diagnosis and prognosis of ALL,and the expression of hepcidin-25 is closely related to the effect of chemotherapy.
