Objective:To explore the effect of miR-26a on the invasion and migration of hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2 and its mechanism.Methods:HepG2 cells were transfected with miR-26a mimics or negative control,then transwell assay,wound healing assay were used for investigating cell invasion and migration,qRT-PCR and Western blot were performed to measure the expression of AEG-1 mRNA and protein.Results:miR-26a was upregulated after transfected with miR-26a mimics in HepG2 cells compared with NC,the ability of invasion and migration was significantly decreased (P<0.05).Expression of AEG-1 mRNA and protein was also downregulated observably (P<0.05).Conclusion:Overexpression of miR-26a in HepG2 cells may suppress cells invasion and migration,probably via downregulating its target gene AEG-1 expression.
