Abstract:
Nowadays, photothermal therapy(PTT),which uses photothermal conversion agents(PTA)to produce enough heat to ablate tumors under near-infrared(NIR)light,has attracted widespread research attention.Compared with traditional tumor treatment models such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy,PTT has a certain suction force because it has certain advantages, including minimally invasive, reduced side effects and high accuracy.Photothermal therapy is a process in which PTA absorb light energy and convert it into heat energy, producing local high heat to kill target cells.PTA,as an important medium in PTT,plays an important role in treatment. The study found that PTA not only show cytotoxicity to cancer cells under the action of NIR,but also cause corresponding immune response stimulation, which has the potentially important role of immunotherapy. In recent years, many studies have attempted to develop new PTA to improve the therapeutic specificity of PTT.In this review,we focus on the molecular mechanisms of immunology caused by PTT,and we will explain the role of PTA in immune effects with representative PTA and the application of synergized immunotherapy.
