Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the expression of Ku80 in papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC) and its relationship with clinicopathological features.Methods:Twenty-two paraffin blocks of thyroid papillary carcinoma were collected and the expression of Ku80 in papillary thyroid carcinoma and paracancerous tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry.The relationship between Ku80 expression and clinicopathological features of papillary thyroid carcinoma was analyzed.Results:The positive expression rate of Ku80 in thyroid papillary carcinoma tissue was 63.6%,while that in paracancerous tissue was 22.7%(P<0.05).The expression of Ku80 was correlated with T stage of patients(P=0.005),while it did not related to patient's age,gender,lymph node metastasis,tumor size,location of the tumor,and other complications(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ku80 is highly expressed in papillary thyroid carcinoma and is significantly related to the T stage of the patient with papillary thyroid carcinoma.
