Abstract:
Cystein rich 61 (Cyr61) lelongs to the CCN family.It is a secretory cysteine-rich protein and has a variety of biological roles such as promoting bone formation,cell proliferation,migration,adhesion,and initiating angiogenesis.The role of Cyr61 in tumors has received a lot of attention in recent years.Studies have shown that Cyr61 is significantly up-regulated in tumor cells and tissues and acts as a "pro-oncogenic factor", which is strongly associated with tumorigenesis and development.In this paper,the structural properties and biological roles of Cyr61 as well as its recent significance in tumors are reviewed.
