Abstract:
Objective:To evaluate the albumin to globulin ratio (AGR) for its prognostic value in patients with localized and locally advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC),and and evaluate its prognostic value. Methods:The study comprised 415 localized and locally advanced ccRCC patients undergoing nephrectomy between 2003 and 2012 in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. The associations of AGR with clinicopathological characteristics and overall survival (OS) were evaluated. In addition,we also integrated systemic inflammatory indicators and traditional prognostic evaluation system to draw ROC curve. Results:A decreased AGR was significantly associated with aggressive tumor behaviours and served as an independent prognostic factor (HR:6.799,95%CI:3.215~14.377,P<0.01) for OS of patients.Generally speaking,AGR had a stronger prognostic value compared with those established inflammation-based prognostic scores. Conclusion:AGR is a promising indicator to predict OS of patients with localized and locally advanced ccRCC.AGR also show excellent predictive accuracy.
