Abstract:
In recent years,RNA modifications are gaining the interest of biologist worldwide.Till date, more than 170 modifications has been reported.Among these types,N6-methyladenosine(m6A) modification is the predominant mRNA modification, which regulates RNA splicing, translocation, stability and translation.m6A modification plays critical roles in the growth, differentiation and metabolism of cells. As a dynamic and reversible modification, the level of m6A is regulated by RNA methyltransferases, demethylases and m6A-binding proteins.More and more researches have implicated the correlation between m6A modification and human cancers. In this review,we summarize the research progress of m6A abnormal modification in the occurrence, development and treatment of various malignant tumors,in order to provide a new thought in anti-cancer therapy.
