Abstract:
Objective:The relationship between serum concentrations of nine vitamins and metastatic characteristics of lung squamous cell carcinoma was detected and analyzed, providing a theoretical basis for individualized guidance of certain vitamins and metastatic characteristics of lung squamous cell carcinoma. Methods£ºA retrospective analysis was conducted from January 2016 to August 2018.According to include and exclude standards,a total of 78 cases of new diagnosed lung squamous cell carcinoma were included in this study. The initial anti-tumor treatment testing serum levels of nine vitamins were measured. The differences between the two groups(non-metastatic group vs metastatic group) were compared and analysed. In addition, serum vitamin nutritional status was analysed in multiple metastatic group and oligo-metastatic group, also in liver-metastatic group and non-liver-metastatic group. Results:There was no significant difference in serum levels of 9 vitamins between the non-metastatic group and the metastatic group.Further analysis of lung squamous cell carcinoma in the metastatic group showed that there were significant differences in serum vitamin A and vitamin D between the oligo-metastatic group and the multi-metastatic group, but no significant differences in vitamin B group, vitamin C and vitamin E.The analysis of whether liver metastasis occurred in the metastatic group showed that there was no difference in vitamin A and vitamin B group between the liver metastatic group and the non-liver metastatic group, but there was a significant difference in serum vitamin D level. Conclusion:For patients with lung squamous carcinoma, serum vitamin D level in the group of multi-metastatic group was lower that in oligo-metastatic group,at the same time, the results suggest that for the liver metastatic group, the serum vitamin D level was lower than the non-liver metastasis group. For the lung squamous carcinoma patients, multiple metastases or liver metastasis have worse prognosis, suggesting that vitamin D might play an inhibitory role in lung squamous carcinoma metastasis, and for lung squamous carcinoma patients complement vitamin D level may help suppress the tumor metastasis, but limited to the single center study. The conclusion remains to be further studied.
