Abstract:
Cervical cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies.Lymph node metastasis is an important predictor for prognosis and survival of cervical cancer patients.According to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO) staging system，surgery for early disease is radical hysterectomy with systematic pelvic lymphadenectomy with at least stage Ia2.The metastasis rate of lymph node is low in the patients with early cervical cancer.However，the pelvic lymphadenectomy is associated with many morbidities which probably decrease the quality of life.Sentinel lymph node is(SLN) the first station to receive tumor lymphatic drainage，so that the patients without lymph node involvement can avoid the lymphadenectomy，and those surgical complications can be effectively reduced.Through the study of sentinel lymph node，we can judge the metastasis status of pelvic lymph node，which provides certain basis for the treatment and the prognosis of early cervical cancer.
