Abstract:
Objective:To explore the correlation between the expression level of SET gene in bone marrow and the incidence and prognosis of AML.Methods:The clinical and pathological data of 42 newly diagnosed AML patients admitted to our hospital from March 2011 to February 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.AML patients were included in the AML group,23 healthy volunteers in the same period were included in the control group.The SET gene expression level of the two groups was measured.Patients in the AML group and the control group were compared for the SET gene expression level,the high expression group and the low expression group.After two courses of treatment,the complete response rate,the median OS and the median PFS of the AML patients were compared.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between the SET gene expression level and the clinical efficacy,the median OS and the PFS of the AML patients.Results:The mean SET gene expression level(1.41±0.93) in the AML group was significantly higher than that in the control group(0.97±0.24),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The complete response rate(36.84%) of AML patients in the high expression group after 2 treatment courses was significantly lower than that in the low expression group(82.61%),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.00).The mean OS and mean PFS in the SET gene high expression group were significantly lower than those in the SET gene low expression group(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the level of SET gene expression was significantly correlated with the clinical efficacy,median OS and median PFS of AML patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression level of SET gene in bone marrow is significantly correlated with the incidence and prognosis of AML,which is of great value for the diagnosis and treatment of AML patients as well as the prediction of their prognosis.
