Abstract:
Cancer pain can be divided into two types:Somatic pain and neuropathic pain.The international association for the study of pain defines neuropathic pain as pain caused by damage or disease that directly affects the somatosensory system.However,not all somatosensory impairment causes neuropathic pain.In pediatric cancer patients,neuropathic pain is caused by a variety of reasons,such as chemotherapy drugs (such as vincristine,cisplatin and paclitaxel,et al),spinal cord injury,and direct injury of tumor to tissues and nerves.The incidence of neuropathic pain is lower than that of somatic pain,but it is more difficult to treat,requiring more clinical follow-up,more complex drug administration,and frequent non-drug interventions.In order to better solve the neuropathic pain in children with cancer,this paper intends to review the treatment methods of neuropathic pain in children with cancer,so as to better guide clinical treatment.
