Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the effect of hot compress of Chinese medicine in the breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.Methods:64 cases of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy with symptoms of cancer-related fatigue were selected as research objects.According to random number method,they divided into two groups.32 cases in the control group received routine hospital care,and 32 cases in the experimental group received 5-day intervention with hot compress of Chinese medicine on the basis of routine hospital care.A revised Piper fatigue scale (RPFS) was used to evaluate the effect of the intervention.Results:After the intervention,the RPFS score of the experimental group was significantly lower than control group (P<0.05).Compared with the pre-intervention,the RPFS score of the experimental group was not significantly changed (P>0.05),while the control group was significantly increased (P<0.01).Conclusion:Hot compress of Chinese medicine can relieve the aggravation of cancer related fatigue caused by chemotherapy.
