Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the value of serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),soluble vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1 (sFLT1) and CD105 levels in predicting the metastasis of endometrial carcinoma (EC).Methods:97 cases of EC patients admitted to the Department of Gynecology in our hospital were studied,including 42 cases with EC metastasis (EC metastasis group) and 55 cases without metastasis (EC non-metastasis group),and 50 healthy women (control group) in the same period were selected.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the changes of serum VEGF,sFLT1 and CD105 levels in all subjects.The values of the three level changes to predict EC metastasis were analysed.Results:The levels of serum VEGF,VEGF/sFLT1 and CD105 in the EC metastasis group and the EC non-metastasis group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).The VEGF and VEGF/sFLT1 in the EC metastasis group were higher than those in the EC non-metastatic group (P<0.05),and the serum sFLT1 in EC metastasis group and EC non-metastasis group was lower than that in control group (P<0.05),and the serum sFLT1 level in the EC metastasis group was lower than EC non-metastasis group (P<0.05).The levels of serum VEGF and sFLT1 in patients with EC metastasis were related to the tumor staging (P<0.05).It was not related to pathological grading and depth of infiltrating muscularis (P>0.05).The expression of serum CD105 in patients with EC metastasis was not related to tumor staging,pathological grading and depth of infiltrating muscularis (P>0.05).The ROC curve showed that the AUC of VEGF was 0.901.When the critical value>503.26 pg/ml,the diagnostic sensitivity was 78.57%,and the specificity was 94.00%.The AUC of sFLT1 was 0.876.When the critical value≤62.35 pg/ml,the diagnostic sensitivity was 73.81%,and the specificity was 86.00%.The AUC of CD105 was 0.692.When the critical value>89.67 U/L,the diagnostic sensitivity was 64.30%,and the specificity was 86.00%.VEGF was an independent risk factor affecting EC metastasis (P<0.05),SFLT1 was an independent protective factor affecting EC metastasis (P<0.05).Conclusion:The level of serum VEGF in patients with EC metastasis is increased,and sFLT1 is decreased,and the ratio of VEGF/sFLT1 is increased.The serum VEGF and sFLT1 have high sensitivity and specificity to EC metastasis patients,and they are the influencing factors of EC metastasis,which could be used as the potential predictors of EC metastasis.
