Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the predictive value of prognostic nutritional index (PNI) for postoperative complications of lung cancer.Methods:180 patients with non-small cell lung cancer who underwent surgery in our hospital from December 2015 to March 2018 were retrospectively analysed. The clinical data of patients were collected and the incidence of postoperative complications was collected.Logistic regression analysed the influencing factors of postoperative complications. Results:Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that preoperative low PNI was an independent risk factor for postoperative complications of Clavien-Dindo score≥grade II (OR:1.10,95%CI:1.02~1.17,P=0.023).Patients with PNI were divided into 3 groups, including PNI≥50 group (n=113),45≤PNI<50 group (n=47),PNI<45 group (n=20).The incidence of postoperative complications of Clavien-Dindo score≥grade II and Clavien-Dindo score≥grade III in each group were 22.1%,40.4%,40.0% and 6.2%,17.0%,25.0% respectively. There was a significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications with different PNI values and PNI value could be used as an independent risk factor for prediction of postoperative complications such as pneumothorax and extrapulmonary infection. Conclusion:The PNI can be used as an effective predictor in prediction of postoperative complication risk in lung cancer patients.
