Abstract:
Objective:To study the expression and implication of p16INK4A and p14ARF in human bladder carcinoma.Methods:Immunohistochemistry method was used to detect p16INK4A and p14ARF expressions in 13 normal bladder tissues and 52 primary bladder carcinoma.Results:The positive expression rate of p16INK4A in normal bladder tissues and primary bladder carcinoma tissues was 84.62% and 40.38%,respectively.There was significant difference between them(P<0.01).The positive expression rate of p14ARF in normal bladder tissues and primary bladder carcinoma tissues was 92.31% and 23.08%,respectively(P<0.01).The positive expression rate of p16INK4A and p14ARF had negative correlation with clincopathological stages and pathlolgyical grades(P<0.05).The expression of p16INK4A and p14ARF in bladder carcinoma had not a positive correlation(P>0.05).But there were relation between p16INK4A,p14ARF and prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion:Expression of p16INK4A and p14ARF in bladder carcinoma play an important role in suppression of invasive growth and metastasis of tumor,which might contribute to various biological behaviors.United detection of p16INK4A and p14ARF might be acted as an marker of bladder carcinoma diagnosis and prognosis.
