Abstract:
Objective:To study the clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features,differential diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma of breast.Methods:3 cases of breast adenoid cystic carcinoma were studied by clinical data,histopathological and immunohistochemical features.Related literatures were reviewed.Results:All 3 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma of breast were females,age from 58 to 80 years old.All cases were grossly circumscribed and formed tubular-trabecular,cribriform,and solid-basaloid structures microscopy.The tumor typically consisted of a glandular epithelium and myoepithelial-basal cells.All glandular epithelium expressed CK7,CK5/6,CD117,myoepithelium expressed SMA,p63,basal-like cell expressed p63,CK5/6,CD117,all of which were negative for ER,PR,Her-2.3 cases of breast adenoid cystic carcinoma underwent modified radical mastectomy,there were no recurrence after surgery by follow-up.Conclusion:Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast is a rare subtype of breast invasive carcinoma,with a unique histopathological characteristics and favorable prognosis.
