Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the effect of combining metformin and docetaxel on the proliferation and apoptosis effect of MDA-MB-231 cell line.Methods:The experiment was divided into 4 groups,TXT+MET group,TXT group,MET group and blank control group.The clone formation of MDA-MB-231 was assessed by clone formation assay.The proliferation of MDA-MB-231 was tested by MTT assay.The cell apoptosis was detected by FCM.Results:The results of cell clone formation assay,MTT assay and FCM assay were shown that the clone rate and proliferation ability of docetaxel combining metformin was significantly higher than that of docetaxel,metformin and blank control group (P<0.05),while the apoptosis rate of docetaxel combining metformin was significantly higher than that of other control groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:Metformin and docetaxel can inhibit MDA-MB-231 cells proliferation and clone formation and promote cell apoptosis effectively.
