Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the changes of serum matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) and epidermal growth factor (EGF) levels in patients with uterine leiomyoma and the clinical value of the diagnosis of uterine myoma.Methods:A total of 84 cases of uterine fibroids were diagnosed by pathology (case group) and 84 healthy women as control group,compared two groups of serum MMP-9,EGF levels,and according to the position and size of myoma of leiomyoma,subgroup analysis was performed in cases group.Results:Cases of serum MMP-9 and EGF levels were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The optimal critical value of MMP-9 in differential diagnosis of uterine myoma and healthy people was 1.40μg/ml,the optimal critical value of EGF in differential diagnosis of uterine myoma and healthy people was 288.5pg/ml.ROC curve area corresponding AUC value were 0.816 and 0.739 respectively.Serum MMP-9 and EGF levels in patients with submucosal myoma were higher than those with intramural myoma,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The maximum diameter >5.0cm of the fibroids was less than or equal to ≤5.0cm of serum MMP-9 and EGF levels in patients with no statistically significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:Detections of serum EGF,MMP-9 levels are conducive to the differential diagnosis of uterine fibroids patients.
