Abstract:

Objective：To analyze the diagnosis and treatment of adrenal myelolipoma (AML)．Methods：To review historical document，a retrospective analysis was going on 16 cases of the adrenal myelolipoma (AML) from 2010 to 2015 about clinical features，imaging characteristics，approach surgery and prognosis．Results：Mean patients age was 46.2 years (range 29 to 70)，5 men and 11 women.14 of the cases were on the right adrenal gland and only 2 cases were on the left.9 cases had no symptoms，5 cases complained about simple backache，1 case suffered from lower back pain and edema，1 case mainly suffered from hypertension，palpitation and dizziness.16 cases were all taken ultrasound or CT scan for diagnosis and undertaken open or laparoscopic surgery for adrenal gland and the tumor incision.During 3 to 36 months follow-up，the primary symptoms disappeared，no tumor relapse．Conclusion：The diagnosis of AML is depended on the image logical method and the treatment mainly is the surgery.Meanwhile，the operation could avoid symptoms of recurrent，improve the quality of life.The laparoscopic surgery is the first choice if there is no contraindications.
