Abstract:
Objective:To investigate whether vitamin C can affect the effectiveness of cisplatin chemotherapy for ovarian cancer rats,and explore its mechanism.Methods:To build modeling ovarian cancer in rats,after the rats were randomized intraperitoneal administration was opearted,observed general condition weekly.After 8 weeks,the rats were sacrificed,then detected the serum CA125,HE4 and calculated ROMA value,measured ascites volume,dissected and recorded tumor weight,statistics for major organizations and local mass measurements,with routine pathology examination.Results:All rats showed emaciated appearance.Weight gained because of tumors and ascites.Tumor weight and ascites volume of cisplatin+high-dose vitamin C group were significantly smaller than the other three groups.CA125,HE4 and ROMA value of three experimental groups were significantly lower than the control group,CA125,HE4 and ROMA value of cisplatin group+high-dose vitamin C group significantly lower than cisplatin+low-dose vitamin C group and cisplatin group.Proportion of cancer cases in the experimental group reduced,and whether vitamin C added had no significant effect on the data.Conclusion:The injection of high concentrations of vitamin C can enhance the anti-ovarian cancer ability of cisplatin,which in a dose-dependent manner.
