Abstract:
Objective：To investigate the effect of Embelin on matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) mRNA, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and NF-κB expression in HL-60 cells and explore the relation between them. Methods: The expression of MMP-9 mRNA was detected by Real time-PCR, and VEGF and NF-κB by Western blot.Results: Embelin could inhibit the NF-κB,MMP-9 mRNA and VEGF expression in HL-60 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion: Embelin could downregulate MMP-9 mRNA,NF-κB and VEGF expression in HL-60 cells and may reduce the invasiveness of leukemia cells.
