Abstract:
Objective:We observed the effects of the inhibition effect of exogenous IL-24 gene on C6 glioma cells by studying IL-24 gene transfected C6/IL-24 cell, empty vector C6/pLXSN cell and the parent C6 cell. Methods:With the application of MTT,we observed the effects of the inhibition effect of exogenous IL-24 gene on C6 glioma cells in vitro. With the Western blot,we examined the expression of JNK and caspase-3 proteins. Results:Compared with the C6/pLXSN and parental C6 cells, the absorbance of C6/IL-24 cells was decreased, suggesting the proliferative ability of C6/IL-24 cells was attenuated. The JNK and caspase-3 expression of C6/IL-24 cells were up-regulated (P<0.05),there was no significant difference between C6/LXSN and C6 cells(P>0.05).Conclusion:Exogenous IL-24 gene can affect the biological characteristic of the C6 glioma cells, suppresses its proliferation.Exogenous IL-24 gene induced C6 cell apoptosis by up-regulating and activating JNK and caspase-3.
