Abstract:
In recent years, with the use of low-dose CT (LDCT) in lung cancer screening, increasing number of young patients are being diagnosed with lung cancer.Although the proportion of young non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients (≤45 years old) is low,it has unique clinicopathological features and genetic mutation loci.As the most common pathological type of NSCLC in young patients, lung adenocarcinoma has less research on its oncogenic genetic alterations (GAs) and clinical features. With the concept of individualized treatment of lung cancer, its population studies are gradually gaining attention. Therefore,it is of great clinical importance to study adenocarcinoma of the lung in young adults. In this paper,we review the trends, pathological features and driver mutations in young patients with lung adenocarcinoma.
