Abstract:
Objective:To analyse the trends of leukaemia incidence and death in Chinese residents with age,period and cohort from 1990 to 2019,and to provide a reference basis for leukemia research.Methods:Based on the leukemia incidence and mortality data of Chinese residents from 1990 to 2019,the trends of leukemia incidence and mortality were analyzed using Joinpoint regression models.The age-period-cohort model (APC model) was used to analyze the effects of age,period,and cohort on changes in incidence and mortality.Results:The average annual percentage change (AAPC) in morbidity rates for males and females in the Chinese population from 1990 to 2019 was -0.35 (P<0.01) and -0.98 (P<0.01),respectively,and in mortality rates for males and females,the AAPC was -1.5 3(P<0.01) and -2.28 (P<0.01),respectively.The esults of the APC model showed that:Age-specific risks of incidence and mortality decreased and then increased with age,with a U-shaped distribution.Period-specific risks of incidence increased with period-specific risk,and period-specific risks of mortality decreased,and cohort-specific risks of incidence and mortality increased and then decreased with birth cohort.Conclusion:The national leukaemia incidence and mortality rates from 1990 to 2019 are generally on a downward trend,and the risk of leukaemia incidence and mortality in the population is greatly affected by age,period and birth cohort,so strengthening the prevention and treatment of high-risk groups will help to reduce the disease burden of leukaemia in China.
