Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the relationship between TNF receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6),neuronal calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and bone metastasis and prognosis in elderly castration-resistant prostate cancer patients.Methods:157 patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer (prostate cancer group) and 101 healthy volunteers (control group) admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected and divided into bone metastasis group (84 cases) and non-bone metastasis group (73 cases) according to whether bone metastasis occurred.Serum TRAF6 and CGRP levels were detected,and the survival of castration-resistant prostate cancer patients was followed up after discharge.Results:The levels of serum TRAF6 and CGRP in prostate cancer group were higher than those in control group (P<0.01).Serum TRAF6 and CGRP levels in castration-resistant prostate cancer patients with Gleason score ≥8 and TNM stage Ⅲc-Ⅳb were higher than those in Gleason score < 8 and TNM stage Ⅲa-Ⅲb (P<0.05).The levels of serum TRAF6 and CGRP in bone metastasis group were higher than those in non-bone metastasis group (P<0.01).Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the OS survival rate of high TRAF6 and high CGRP groups was lower than that of low RAF6 and low CGRP groups (P<0.05).Multivariate COX regression analysis showed that TNM stage Ⅲc-Ⅳb,bone metastasis,high TRAF6 level and high CGRP level were the risk factors for prognosis of castration-resistant prostate cancer (P<0.05).Conclusion:The increase of serum TRAF6 and CGRP levels in elderly patients with prostate cancer is related to malignant clinicpathological features,bone metastasis and poor prognosis of prostate cancer,and can be used as markers for bone metastasis and prognosis evaluation.
