Abstract:
Objective:To discuss the coexpression of δ-catenin and Erbin proteins in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and its relationship with prognosis.Methods:To collect 69 NSCLC specimens with follow-up information and 20 normal lung tissue specimens adjacent to cancer.Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect the coexpression of δ-catenin and Erbin in NSCLC tissues,and the correlation between coexpression and clinical pathological parameters,survival time,and prognostic risk factors of patients was analyzed.Results:The positive expression rates of δ-catenin and Erbin in NSCLC tissue were 55.07%(38/69),significantly higher than those in normal lung tissue (0/20).The coexpression rate of Erbin and δ-catenin was 44.93%(31/69),which was closely related to poor differentiation of tumor tissue,lymph node metastasis,and high TNM staging (P＜0.05).The postoperative survival time of coexpression patients was also significantly shorter than that of non coexpression patients (P＜0.05).Coexpression was also an independent risk factor for predicting the prognosis of NSCLC patients (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The coexpression of Erbin and δ-catenin suggests that NSCLC patients have a poorer clinical prognosis,and the combined detection of the two proteins may have more important clinical significance in predicting the prognosis of tumor patients.
