Abstract:
Objective:To compare the effect and healing of vacuum-assisted biopsy(VAB) and microwave ablation(MWA) in the treatment of breast cancer in rabbit.Methods:This study built 72 VX2 breast cancer models in rabbits and the rabbits received operation with VAB and MWA randomly,which were 36 in each group.General observation,ultrasound and pathological examination were used for evaluate of the treatments at 1st day,3rd day,7th day,14th day,30th day,60th day after the VAB and MWA.Immunohistochemical detection in CD31,VEGF,TGF-β was used to quantify and evaluate the efficacy and local healing.Results:The success rate of VAB after 30 days was 75.0%,and that of MWA was 83.3%.The incidence of postoperative hematoma in VAB was 13.9%,which would gradually reduce with time.The incidence of postoperative scald in MWA was 13.9%.The granulation tissue reached the peak at 7th day in both group.Then the granulation tissue decreased and had gradually epithelialization,but the time of epithelialization in MWA was later.Quantification indicated that VAB was higer than MWA at 14th day,30th day,60th day.The CD31 expression rate of VAB was higher at 3rd day.The expression level of VEGF in MWA was higher at 14th day and 30th day,and the expression of TGF-β decreased more slowly in MWA.Conclusion:VAB and MWA are both effective and safe methods for VX2 breast cancer in rabbits.VAB may be better than MWA in early healing,and scar formation is not as obvious as MWA.
