Abstract:
In this review, the recent progress of molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) in drug delivery system(DDS) has been summarized, the methods of molecularly imprinted polymers and the strategies of improving drug loading and combined administration of molecularly imprinted polymers were introduced. The effective strategies to improve drug loading on MIP for combined drug delivery were discussed. The applications of MIP for tumor microenvironment based targeted delivery system were analyzed from the perspectives of endogenous sensitive stimulations, exogenous sensitive stimulations. The biocompatibility and biodegradability of MIP used as anti-tumor drug delivery system was discussed, and the possible solutions were analyzed. The prospects of the application of MIP to be used in tumor drugs were discussed at the end of this review, which may help the research and development of targeted and controllable tumor treatment.
