Abstract:
Objective:To analyze clinicopathological features,diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of SCCOPT.Methods:The medical records of 8 patients with SCCOPT in our hospital between Jan.2010 and Dec.2021 were reviewed.Results:The average age was 54.25 years old (ranging from 35 to 68 years old).The main clinical presentations at diagnosis were abdominal pain and/or vaginal bleeding.Seven cases had stage Ⅱ to Ⅳb,whereas only one had stage Ⅰc.All patients except for one with stage Ⅳb received satisfactory cytoreductive surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy with paclitaxel plus cisplatin/carboplatin for 4 to 8 courses.7 patients died,with a median survival time of 16.5 months (6~49 months).Even 6 patients underwent cytoreductive operation and adequate chemotherapy,they also died.However,the shortest survival time in patients who received adequate treatment was 10 months.4 cases survived for 2 or more years.One patient relapsed 33 months after initial diagnosis.She is alive after chemotherapy.Conclusion:SCCOPT is an extremely infrequent ovarian malignancy with poor prognosis.Satisfactory cytoreductive surgery plus adjuvant platinum-based chemotherapy is the main treatment strategy.
