Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the diagnostic efficacy of invasion depth in early colorectal cancer with JNET 2B type based on endoscopic features.Methods:A total of 47 early colorectal cancers with JNET 2B type diagnosed in our hospital were enrolled in this study.Endoscopic features of each lesion included loss of lobulation,excavation,demarcated depressed area,fullness,fold convergency,invasive pit patterns or invasive vascular patterns or JNET 2B-high.The association between endoscopic features and invasion depth was analyzed.Results:The loss of lobulation had a higher frequency of SM-d invasion compared with M/SM-s invasion(64.7% vs 13.3%,P<0.001).The fullness also had a higher frequency of SM-d invasion compared with M/SM-s invasion(64.7% vs 6.7%,P<0.001).Similar results were founding for lesions with invasive pit patterns or invasive vascular patterns or JNET 2B-high(76.5% vs 10.0%,P<0.001;94.1% vs 10.0%,P<0.001,respectively).No statistical difference was found for lesions with features of excavation,demarcated depressed area,or fold convergency.Conclusion:JNET 2B type colorectal lesions with features of loss of lobulation,fullness,invasive pit patterns or invasive vascular patterns or JNET 2B-high have a higher frequency of SM-d invasion,and surgical intervention is recommended.Surgical intervention would be recommended for lesions with these features.
