Abstract:
Head and neck cancer is the sixth highest incidence of malignant tumor, including laryngeal cancer, oral cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, thyroid cancer and so on.Many organs are involved, with poor prognosis, high mortality and morbidity.Exosomes are nanoscale vesicular bodies containing a variety of bioactive substances such as RNA and proteins, which can mediate intercellular signal transduction. The miRNA contained in the exosome is called exosomal miRNA.Due to the protection of exosomes vesicle membrane, its stability is better than that of free miRNAs.In recent years, more and more studies have begun to pay attention to the role of exosomal miRNA in the pathogenesis, early clinical diagnosis and monitoring prognosis of head and neck cancer. This article reviews the latest research progress of exosomal miRNA in head and neck cancer.
