Abstract:
Objective:To explore the prognostic model of gastric cancer with RNA binding protein and verify its accuracy by using bioinformatics. Methods:The RNA sequencing data of gastric cancer were downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) database, and the RBPs expressed in normal and tumor tissues were determined. The expression and prognostic value of these RBPs were studied systematically by bioinformatics analysis. Results:A total of 296 expressions of RBPs were identified,166 of which were up-regulated and 130 of which were down-regulated.Seven RBPs(RNASE1,SETD7,BOLL,ADARB1,PPARGC1B,LARP6,MSI2) were identified as prognostic hub genes. The prognostic model based on the above genes showed that the overall survival(OS) of the high-risk subgroup was lower than that of the low-risk subgroup. In the train group, the area under the ROC curve of the prognosis model was 0.730,while in the test group,it was 0.653.The expression differences of 7 RBPs in gastric cancer and normal tissue were further verified by the nomogram and HPA database. Conclusion:The RNA-binding protein-related prognostic model of gastric cancer shows a good prognostic differentiation ability, which will help to reveal the pathogenesis of gastric cancer and provide new clinical diagnosis and treatment ideas.
