Abstract:
Objective:To analyze the incidence and the mortality of gastric cancer in the world,Asia,Eastern Asia,China and Gansu province from 2010 to 2018,and to provide epidemiological basis for the prevention and control of gastric cancer in China and Gansu province.Methods:The age composition of standard population of Chinese census in 2000 was used for age-standardized incidence and mortality rates in China (ASIRC/ASMRC),and Segi's population was used for age-standardized incidence and mortality rates worldwide (ASIRW/ASMRW).The ASIRW/ASMRW of gastric cancer in the world,Asia,Eastern Asia and China was obtained from the GLOBOCAN database.According to the data released by the National Cancer Center,the ASIRC/ASMRC of gastric cancer in China from 2010 to 2014 were obtained.The ASIRC/ASMRC of gastric cancer in Gansu province were obtained from the data reported by Gansu cancer registries.The trends of incidence and mortality of gastric cancer in five regions were analyzed,and the incidence and the mortality of gastric cancer in five regions were compared.Results:The incidence and the mortality of gastric cancer were decreasing year by year in all regions.The incidence and the mortality of gastric cancer were higher in Asia and Eastern Asia than the whole world,in China than in Asia and Eastern Asia,and in Gansu province than in China.Conclusion:The incidence and the mortality of gastric cancer in Gansu province are obviously higher than the national average.In the future,the prevention and treatment of gastric cancer should be the focus of cancer prevention and control in China,especially in Gansu province.
