Abstract:
CD68 is a highly expressed protein in peripheral blood monocytes and macrophages, and is one of the major antigens of monocytes and macrophages, also known as CD68 antigen,GP110,Macrosialin,Scavenger Receptor Class D,Member 1(SCARD1)and LAMP4.It is a member of mucin-like molecular family of blood system,lysosomal/endosomal related membrane glycoprotein LAMP family and scavenger receptor family.Macrophages in the tumor microenvironment are called tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs),which are involved in tumor proliferation, angiogenesis, infiltration, metastasis and chemotherapy resistance. In malignant diseases of the blood system, macrophages are widely infiltrated into lymphoma, myeloma, leukemia and other tissues involved by malignant cells. They are activated by abnormal malignant microenvironment, can obtain specific activation phenotypes, and participate in disease progression. In leukemia, its name is extended to leukemia-related macrophages, acute leukemia-related macrophages or "nurse-like cells".This paper reviews the research progress of CD68 factor in leukemia.
