Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the effects of Trillium saponins on the proliferation and the apoptosis of cervical cancer Hela cells.Methods:Hela cells were treated with different concentrations of Trillium saponins[(0~100.00)mg/L].Cell proliferation was assessed by MTT assay and apoptosis was evaluated by flow cytometric analysis.The expressions of cleaved caspase-3,8,9,Bax and Bcl-2 of Hela cells were observed by Western blotting.Results:Trillium saponins could inhibit the growth of Hela significantly,and the IC50 value was (7.67±1.40)mg/L.Trillium saponins could induce the apoptosis of Hela cells.It upregulated the expression of cleaved caspase-3,9 and Bax and downregulated the expression of Bcl-2 in Hela cells concentration-dependently.Conclusion:Trillium saponins inhibited Hela proliferation,at least in part,inducing apoptosis of Hela through the mitochondrial pathway of apoptosis.
