Abstract:
Objective:To evaluate the biological role of CUEDC2 in human breast cancer cells.Methods:Human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 were transient transfected with Myc-CUEDC2 constructs,and whole-cell lysates were extracted with the level of phosphorylated Akt (p-Akt) and the total Akt proteins.CCK-8 assay was used for detecting the role of CUEDC2 in breast cancer cell line progression.Results:CUEDC2 induced an increase in the level of phosphorylated Akt (p-Akt) and increased the growth of breast cancer cells.Conclusion:Our results suggest that increased expression of CUEDC2 contributes to tumor growth by activation of the PI3K/Akt pathway in breast cancer cell lines,which may be one of the mechanisms that attribute to promote the growth of cancer cells.
