Abstract:
Objective:To discuss the expression of HSP27 and its correlation with β-catenin and Vimentin in Signet-ring cell carcinoma (SRCC) of the stomach.Methods:To choose 70 samples of gastroscopic biopsies,including 30 SRCC,30 poor differentiated adenocarcinoma and 10 chronic gastritis.Expression of HSP27,β-catenin and Vimentin was detected in paraffin-embedded specimens using immunohistochemical method.Results:Expression of HSP27 and Ectopic expression of β-catenin in SRCC were 80% and 40%,there were significantly differences with poor differentiated adenocarcinoma (P<0.05),and there was a negative correlation between HSP27 and Ectopic expression of β-catenin (P<0.05).The rate of normal expression of β-catenin were 46.7% and 23.3% in SRCC and poor differentiated adenocarcinoma,there were no significantly differences between them (P>0.05).And there was no correlation between HSP27 and normal expression of β-catenin.The rates of expression of Vimentin were 33.3% and 53.3% in SRCC and poor differentiated adenocarcinoma,there were no significantly differences between them (P>0.05),and there was no correlation with HSP27 and β-catenin (P>0.05).Conclusion:HSP27,β-catenin and Vimentin protein all have abnormal expression in SRCC and poor differentiated adenocarcinoma.HSP27 protein expression in SRCC is higher than poor differentiated adenocarcinoma,but the rate of abnormal expression of β-catenin and Vimentin protein is lower than poor differentiated adenocarcinoma.HSP27,β-catenin and Vimentin may be involved in the difference biological behaviour between SRCC and poor differentiated adenocarcinoma.
