Abstract:
With the aging of the population, the number of elderly patients with cancer is increasing. The physical function of elderly tumor patients is decreased, and they are easy to combine with various diseases, which makes them have obvious adverse reactions and increased risk of chemotherapy, and chemotherapy is limited. However, the current clinical trials are underrepresented in elderly patients, and copying the guidelines may be detrimental to elderly patients. However,if carefully selected and monitored, some elderly patients can avoid the serious toxicity of chemotherapy, and some can also benefit from chemotherapy. This article reviews the tools used to predict the toxicity of chemotherapy in elderly patients with cancer,in order to help clinicians choose the best tool.
