Abstract:
The transcription factor Fra-1,which is expressed by the FOSL1 gene,is an essential component of the activator protein 1(AP-1) dimer complex transcription factor family and is involved in the metastasis and development of human malignancies.Most malignancies have increased Fra-1 expression,which is triggered by many signaling pathways.Fra-1,a crucial transcription factor,has the ability to control the production of numerous proteins,including those involved in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT),matrix metalloproteinases-1(MMP-1),MMP-9,etc.This article will concentrate on the various functions of Fra-1 in various malignancies and the various signaling pathways involved.
