Abstract:
Cervical cancer is the common gynecological malignancy in the world, and it progresses pathologically over time. The traditional high-throughput sequencing technology only provides genetic information of multicellular populations at an average level, which cannot explain the heterogeneity of tumor microenvironment in cervical premalignant lesions and cervical cancer. The use of single-cell sequencing technology has enabled the biological properties of individual cells to be revealed, while providing a new means for the study of the tumor microenvironment at the single-cell level. In recent years,single-cell sequencing technology has advanced the understanding of cervical cancer significantly. In this paper,we review the study of single-cell sequencing on the characteristic changes of various types of cells in the tumor microenvironment of cervical cancer and its precancerous stage, and briefly look forward to the future development of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cervical cancer.
