Abstract:
Objective:To explore the expression level of programmed cell death factor 4 (PDCD4) and microRNA-107 (miR-107) in penile cancer tissue and their relationship with patient prognosis.Methods:A research was made of 32 patients with penile cancer diagnosed in our hospital from January 2018 to June 2020,and 32 pairs of penile cancer tissue (study group) and normal penile tissue adjacent to cancer (control group) were taken during surgery.The expression levels of PDCD4 and miR-107 in the two groups were detected by real-time quantitative reverse transcription-PCR,and their relationship with clinicopathologic parameters and prognosis was analyzed.Kaplan-Meier survival curve analysis and Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of patients with penile cancer.Results:The expression of PDCD4 in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the expression of miR-107 was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).The expression level of PDCD4 and miR-107 was correlated with lymph node metastasis,histological grade of penis cancer (P<0.05).Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the survival rate.The survival rate of the low expression group of miR-107 was significantly higher than that of the high expression group of miR-107,and the survival rate of the low expression group of PDCD4 was lower than that of the high expression group of PDCD4(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that high TNM stage,lymph node metastasis,low expression of PDCD4 and high expression of miR-107 were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with penile cancer (all P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression of miR-107 and PDCD4 in patients with penile cancer is abnormally high and low,which are expected to be used as important indicators to predict the prognosis of penile cancer.
