Abstract:
Objective:To explore the clinical value of preoperative peripheral blood platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and fibrinogen (FIB) in the prognosis of colon cancer patients undergoing radical surgery.Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on the preoperative peripheral blood indicators and clinical pathological data of 273 patients who underwent radical colon cancer surgery at our hospital from January 2019 to December 2020.The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve of the subjects was used for grouping.Analyze the relationship between PLR,FIB high and low groups and clinical pathological characteristics of colon cancer patients.Draw survival curve using Kaplan-Meier method.The Cox risk regression model was used to evaluate the risk factors for poor prognosis in patients.Results：PLR was significantly correlated with gender,differentiation,lymph node metastasis,tumor size,location,staging,and FIB (P＜0.05).FIB was significantly correlated with tumor size and PLR (P＜0.05).Kaplan Meier analysis showed that the OS and DFS of the low PLR and FIB groups were significantly higher than those of the high PLR and FIB groups,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that age,differentiation,clinical stage,and PLR were prognostic factors for the 3-year overall survival of colon cancer patients (P＜0.05).Infiltration depth,TNM staging,PLR,and FIB were independent influencing factors for DFS (P＜0.05).Conclusion:PLR and FIB are independent influencing factors for DFS,and PLR is an independent risk factor for patient prognosis,which has certain value in preoperative evaluation of patient recurrence,metastasis,and prognosis.
