Abstract:
Objective:To analyze the severity and risk factors for malignant tumors patients with Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19),and to provide reference for the prognosis and clinical management of the disease. Methods:In this retrospective study,we collected data of 93 patients with tumours and COVID-19 diagnosed in department of oncology of our hospital and department of oncology of Baoji Central Hospital between December 1,2022 to January 31,2023,and analyzed whether clinical features were correlated with the severity of COVID-19.Logistic regression was used to analyze whether clinical features had an independent effect on disease severity and prognosis. Results:In univariate analysis,ECOG PS,PG-SGA score grade, white blood cell count,CRP,gender, age, expectoration and antitumor therapywere significantly associated with the COVID-19 severity.Regression analysis showed the white blood cell count was an independent risk factor for the severity of malignant tumors with COVID-19.Nutritional PG-SGA score of grade A,no expectoration, normal CRPand PS score=1 were protective factors.Smoking history,PS score,CRP,antitumor therapy, lymphocyte count were associated with the outcome of the disease.Logistic regression analysis showed that recent anticancer therapy within the last month was not a risk factor of mortality from COVID-19 disease. Conclusion:Standardized nutrition intervention and timely cough and phlegm relief can reduce the severity of COVID-19 infection in cancer patients.Recent antitumor therapy does not increase the risk of death in patients of tumors infected with COVID-19.
