Abstract:
The inflammation response plays an important role in the promotion,occurrence and development of cancers.Asymptomatic pyuria(AP),considered to be reflect the state of the urinary tract inflammation index,is closely related with the prognosis of urothelial carcinoma(UC).Recent researchs show that the changes of AP affect tumor microenvironment and local inflammatory reaction,which can be used to predict recurrence,treatment and disease progression of UC.In this paper,we systematically reviewed the relevant literatures on the critical value and mechanism of action of AP,as well as its prognostic value for upper tract urothelial carcinoma and bladder cancer in recent years,to evaluate the potential of AP as an effective prognostic indicator for UC therapy.
