Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the clinical and pathological characteristics of basal cell carcinoma(BCC) in Jiangxi province by statistical analysis of clinical and pathological data of patients diagnosed in Dermatology Hospital of Jiangxi Provincel.Methods:Clinical and pathological data of patients with pathologically confirmed BCC in our hospital from July 2016 to May 2021 were collected and analyzed.Results:Among 430 patients enrolled,the ratio of male to female was 1∶1.18,the mean age was (67.33±12.48) years old,and 90.70% of patients were 50 years old or above,and the peak age range was 60~69 years old.Duration of disease was 10 days to 60 years,with a median of 3 years.443 lesions were diagnosed in 430 patients,87.58% of which were located on the head and face,followed by 9.48% on the trunk and 2.26% on the limbs.The coincidence rate of clinical and pathological diagnosis was 54.42%.Nodular type(65.01%) was the most common pathological type,followed by pigment type(13.32%).Conclusion:BCC often occurs in the exposure site of middle-aged and elderly people over 50 years old.Some patients have a long course of disease and a high rate of clinical misdiagnosis.Clinicians should further understand BCC,improve the awareness of histopathological biopsy and reduce misdiagnosis.
