Abstract:
N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most widespread RNA modification in eukaryotic cells,which is a type of epigenetic modification and is involved in multiple tumors occurrence and development.Gastric cancer is the third most deadly malignant tumor in the world.At present,the mechanism of occurrence and development of gastric cancer is not fully understood,early gastric cancer is difficult to detect,and there are few surgery opportunities for advanced gastric cancer and poor drug therapy.In gastric cancer,the expression of m6A modification-related factors is abnormal,causing m6A modification disorders,which in turn affects the progression of gastric cancer.It also suggests that m6A-related regulators have the potential to be used as therapeutic targets or diagnostic markers for gastric cancer.Thus,this review will focus on the mechanism of m6A modification in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer and the treatment methods that may be involved.
