Abstract:
Methylation is a major way of RNA post-transcriptional modification.At present,research on RNA methylation has made breakthroughs in coding and non-coding RNAs,and it has been found that it is related to various diseases including cancer,and RNA methylation modification is an indispensable existence in both normal physiological processes and the development of diseases.RNA methylation has many different types,and this review mainly introduces 5-methylcytosine(m5C),which is one of the most important types of RNA methylation,and its mechanism of action is mainly focusing on aspects involved in regulating RNA stability,nuclear export,transcription and translation.Especially,research focuses on the occurrence and development of tumors.m5C methylation modification can play a role in promoting metastasis,invasion and drug resistance.We will introduce methylation,including its related methyltransferases,demethylases,related proteins,and the mode of action with RNA,focusing on its relationship with tumors,including its regulatory mechanisms and functions,to provide new ideas for the treatment of tumors.
