Abstract:
Objective:To explore the relationship between tumor characteristics, hypertension and embolic events in patients with cardiac myxoma. Methods:A total of 31 patients with cardiac myxoma diagnosed in Kailuan General Hospital Affiliated to North China University of Science and Technology from October 2004 to October 2020 were collected and divided into embolization group(n=8) and non-embolization group(n=23) according to the clinical characteristics of the patients. The relevant clinical indicators of the patients were collected, and Logistic regression analysis was performed. Results:There were significant differences between the two groups in tumor location, tumor length, and hypertension(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between tumor length, hypertension and embolism events(P<0.05).Tumor length and hypertension were independent risk factors for embolism events(P<0.05).The area under the ROC curve(AUC) of the logistic regression model for predicting the probability of embolism events was 0.902(95%CI:0.782~1.000,P<0.01).Conclusion:Tumor length and hypertension affect the occurrence of embolism events in patients with cardiac myxoma.Combining these indicators to construct a regression model can improve the accuracy of evaluating embolic events in patients with cardiac myxoma.
